Lolly & Dave - A low key Military/Roller Derby Wedding

I recently had the pleasure to shoot a pretty awesome and inspiring couple. They met and became friends in Iraq 2008, whilst Lolly was serving as a Radio Operator with the Royal Logistic Corps (Territorial Army) and Dave was (and still is) with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.

Lolly had to leave due to early onset Osteoarthritis, so she then returned to her career as an Art teacher. She is also an amazing roller skater and skates for the Royal Windsor Roller Girls- http://windsorrollergirls.com/
In her words "Skating actually helps the pain, who knew!! So I swapped military commitments with Roller Derby and all was right with the world"

Dave did his tour of Iraq, came back and started dating Lolly. He has also done 2 tours or Afghanistan, has an awesome smiley 5 year old son and does triathlons in his spare time!!!

I think you'll agree that they are both pretty inspiring!

The Wedding took place on an overcast day in August, the rain staying away until the photographs were out of the way and then came down in bucketfuls.
The Ceremony was held in the tiny Chapel at the School where Lolly works, too small for myself to actually be in the room, I had to hang in from a joining classroom.
